Khalifa Specialty hospital expands genetic tests; Launches new RNA test offering powerful and personalized health insights for oncology patients

The Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah has launched a new diagnostic test in its laboratories based on a high-complexity examination of “Fusion Transcript” intended to detect rearrangements involving the ALK, ROS-1, RET, and NTRK-1 genes using next generation sequencing technology. This new test is intended for in vitro diagnostic use by trained personnel in a professionallaboratory environment with extracted human RNA samples from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues.
